An Independent Publisher
Built on Principle
London Medical Publishers was founded with one conviction: that the world of medical and academic publishing needed a publisher that placed the quality of knowledge above the convenience of volume.
Our medical list encompasses clinical reference works, specialist texts, and postgraduate education resources. Our non-medical list brings the same editorial discipline to history, biography, public affairs, and serious non-fiction.
We are independently owned, editorially uncompromising, and accountable only to the quality of what we publish.
Three Divisions.
One Standard.
Medical Books
Peer-reviewed clinical titles serving trainees, consultants, and clinical academics. From cardiology to psychiatry, every title is built around clinical authority and practical relevance.
Non-Medical Books
Carefully selected works of narrative non-fiction, history, biography, cultural criticism, and public affairs — held to the same rigorous editorial standard as our clinical catalogue.
LMP Medical Review
Our flagship peer-reviewed journal publishes original research, systematic reviews, and clinical commentary across the full breadth of internal medicine, quarterly and online-first.
The LMP
Medical Review
Launched in 2023, the journal publishes original research, systematic reviews, and clinical commentary across the full breadth of internal medicine. Open to submissions from clinicians and researchers worldwide.

An Independent Publisher
Built on Principle
"Founded in London. Reaching the world. Uncompromising in everything we do."
Our History
London Medical Publishers was incorporated in London in 2022, founded by a small group of clinicians, editors, and publishing professionals who shared a conviction that medical publishing had become too driven by volume, too dependent on established names, and too slow to respond to the genuine needs of clinical readers.
The company launched its first medical titles in 2023, establishing a peer-review framework built around subject expertise rather than institutional proximity. The editorial team drew on relationships with leading clinicians and academics across the UK, Republic of Ireland, and internationally to build a reviewer panel of over 200 specialists from 28 countries.
In 2023 the company launched the LMP Medical Review, its peer-reviewed clinical journal, which received its first COPE endorsement and attracted submissions from researchers across 28 countries within its first year.
In 2024 the company established Publishers International, a division focused on the Gulf region, South Asia, and East Africa, with an office in Dubai enabling relationships with regional academic and clinical institutions that a London-only operation could not serve effectively.
London Medical Publishers remains independently owned. We have no external investors, no parent group, and no obligations to parties whose priorities differ from our own.

A. Book Proposals — Medical

- An assessment of comparable titles and how this proposal differs from or improves upon them

Our non-medical editorial programme applies the same rigour to a different tradition. We seek books that illuminate a subject with genuine authority and will reward reading a decade from publication.

- A chapter outline with brief summaries of each proposed chapter
- An assessment of the market and any comparable titles
- A brief author biography and relevant publications
